Whether there is a shift in the air by way of wind, or storms; or when someone enters a room, possibly at work and you quite literally feel a shift in the air around you because of their emotions; how do you handle it?

Do you notice the shift? Hyper focus on the change? Mentally calculate how you need to adjust yourself to fit to their needs, their energy? Are you spending valuable time planning and calculating  the path of the storm that “could” reach your location?

Changes in energy, even subtle changes, so often, are met with us looking for ways to accommodate ourselves to match or meet them. We are all made of energy. Everything in this world, on this plane of existence, is made of energy. 

The more we move to accommodate other’s energy, the more we absorb. 

The more we consciously worry, the more energy we are taking on that does not belong to us.

The emotions from other people, that we let consume our thoughts (even if it’s gossip about famous people), clings to us, energetically.

And when those energies don’t have a way to escape you (by way of movement, or sound, or cleansing), they begin to manifest in other ways (that pain in your right shoulder that just showed up overnight? Probably isn’t from sleeping wrong. It’s more than likely from Sheryl in management who won’t stop seeking you out for tasks when she knows your plate is full and you won’t tell her “no”). 

When you feel energy shifting in the air around you, pay attention. 

You don’t have to allow it into your space, or to affect your own energy. 

You can visualize a white light of protection surrounding yourself. Like a bubble. Make it as big as you want, as long as it’s encompassing you. If there is an incoming storm, you can make the bubble encompass your entire home, and even your vehicle if you want.

You can close your eyes and repeat the following:

I am safe inside this bubble. 

Energetic attachments cannot find me inside this bubble.

Only my energy resides inside this bubble.

I do not allow any negative energy to find me here.

Likewise, if you would like to harness the power of the storm’s energy you may want to say something a little different, while still visualizing a white light of protection around yourself and your home/vehicle (you may need to be outside, near safety, for this to be effective- please don’t do this in the eye of a storm):

Myself and all living creatures are safe inside this bubble

My belongings and valuables are safe inside this bubble

I draw the energy away from the storm as I inhale

As I exhale, I transmute calmness back into the world
